With the season coming close to an end with two more games left, the Varsity girls softball team had a solid run this season, with a record of six wins and five losses, it was hard fought with challenges they faced and overcame, the girls trained hard, and played very well to be where they are now.

“I think we did pretty well this season it was only small errors that made us lose games”

junior Viviana Lopez said.

Early on there was some minor struggle, but the team went on to win more games after they learned how to effectively work better as a team.

“We had a rough start but we eventually learned to work together and started winning our games.” junior Hailey Carrillo said

This lead to an excellent outcome, performing better and winning more games where they were able to go on a streak of six games against Antelope Valley, Palmdale, and Eastside high school.

Some girls on the team had a goal set in mind before the season was over to prove what they are capable of, they show it through their hard work and dedication during practice and games.

“What I would like to accomplish before our season ends is that we win all of our games so that we can qualify for CIF.” junior Hailey Carrillo said.

As the end of softball comes closer, the seniors on the team are trying to make most of what the season has left and finish strong.

“It’s a very bittersweet moment because it’s the end of a big part of my life and the culmination of all the work I’ve done throughout high school and I know that overall i’m going to miss the competition and getting to play with my sister.” senior Kayley De Leuw said.
